Greg Yasinitsky is a composer, arranger and saxophonist active in jazz and classical music. Winner of the American Prize for Orchestral Composition, his music is widely published and performed around the world. As a saxophonist, Greg has performed with Randy Brecker, Sean Jones, Stan Getz, Ray Charles, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn,Lou Rawls, Patti Austin, Clark Terry and many others. Yasinitsky is the conductor and composer for the Jazz Education Network All Stars Big Band featuring some of the most acclaimed musicians in the world including Tia Fuller, Jeff Coffin, Roxy Coss, Clare Daly, Lauren Sevian, Sean Jones, Bijon Watson, Francisco Torres, Marshall Gilkes, John Clayton, Mark Whitfield and Ellen Rowe. Yasinitsky performs regularly with the jazz groups Gator Tail, Crosscurrent and Jazz Northwest and is Principal Saxophonist with the Spokane Symphony. Also, Greg is a Regents Professor in the School of Music at Washington State University and is a Board Member of the Jazz Education Network. His newest recording is YAZZ Band: New Normal, a followup to his successfull CD YAZZ Band featuring an all star big band, his compositions and saxophone playing.
